Brighton-Le-Sands, is a beach side suburb, with an expansive recreational area along the Grand parade. Brighton Le Sands is approximately 4km away from Sydney international and domestic airport, and contains one of the Novotel's largest hotels in the Sydney area. Brighton is a convenient location situation only approximately 13km south of the CBD, just far enough away to escape the daily grind.

Lady Robinsons Beach and Cook Park run along the eastern border of Brighton-Le-Sands, on Botany Bay. The beach is also commonly referred to as Brighton Beach. Brighton-Le-Sands features a mixture of low density houses, medium density flats, high rise apartments, retail, cafés and restaurants. The Grand Parade runs along the foreshore and intersects with Bay Street, at the commercial centre. The higher density developments are located along these streets.

Lady Robinsons Beach at Brighton Le Sands is home to a myriad of cafes, restaurants and retail shops that reflect the area's cosmopolitan mix of cultures. Both tourists and locals love to visit the popular location for a variety of multicultural cuisine and night-time entertainment and it has been dubbed 'Little Greece by the Bay’ for its numerous Greek cafés, restaurants and businesses.

Transport within the area is mainly bus and car road transport, however Rockdale and Wolli Creek Train stations are conveniently close to Bright Le-Sands.

Schooling within the suburb of Brighton Le-Sands, is readily available with schools such as; Brighton Le-Sands public school, St Thomas More school, St Marks School, Kogarah High school and Blakehurst high school. St George TAFE is also 2km away and available for tertiary education.
