This small affluent suburb is bounded by Rickard Road, Morshead Drive, Greenacre Road, Rowe Street, Connells Point Road and The Appian Way in the north, Condor Crescent, Terry Street, Kyle Parade in the east, Bowden Crescent & Queens Road bound Connells Bay on the Georges River in the south, and generally by Poulton Creek and Oatley Bay to the west.

Major features of the area include Poulton Park, Donnelly Park, Condor Crescent Reserve, Connells Point Reserve, Duggan Park, Queens Road Reserve. Connells Point has its own football club called Connells Point Rovers FC whose home ground is Poulton Park. The Connells Point Sailing Club is located in Donnelly Park, on the shore of Connells Bay.
